In a rhythmic combination of eccentricity, rebel hip-hop, rock, and hard hitting lyrics, SolSis is the perfect blend of artistic measure and creative stamina. Comprised of Ma'Ve and Yah Lioness, the duo is ever evolving. First crossing paths as members of Pittsburgh's Bridgespotters artist collective, the chemistry between these women is undeniable.
Delving into a currency of sound that would not only build a strong friendship, but set the two apart from most groups, SolSis has cultivated a facet of soul in hip-hop that is all their own. With the goal of generating esteem and elevation of the soul, the music from the two is a clear voice amongst the many who set out to discuss society, values and philosophies. When they say it, they mean it: SolSis is on the way for change.
Influenced by the styles of Latifah, Lauryn, Erykah Badu, Res and others, SolSis is the development and collaboration of souls through music. The medicine in the applesauce, if you will.
Through Big Juicy Records, SolSis is working to manage a complex network of creative words, sounds, symbols, and messages that will not only entertain the masses, but incite them.
